Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 2018, the Kings Course is the newest of the three courses at the Kings Island Golf Resort. A typical Nicklaus design, this modern resort style course features generous fairways with strategically placed bunkers.Although kind off the tee, the course measures just over 7,300 yards so shouldn’t be taken…
BRG King’s Island Golf Course is an international-standard golf club located in Ha Tay Province, Vietnam, approximately 36 kilometers west of Hanoi and 45 kilometers from Noi Bai International Airport. Set within the scenic Kings’ Valley, the club spans around 350 hectares along the shores of Dong Mo Lake. One of its most distinctive features is access by boat, adding a memorable start to the golfing experience.
BRG King’s Island Golf Course is the first 36-hole golf facility in Northern Vietnam, featuring two championship courses. The Lakeside Course opened in 1993, followed by the Mountain View Course in October 2004. Comprehensive facilities include a fully air-conditioned clubhouse and restaurant, a driving range with putting greens and practice bunkers, a pro shop, swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, and a dedicated boat dock.
The Lakeside Course, designed by American golf course architect Robert McFarland, makes extensive use of the natural terrain and surrounding water features. McFarland is known for creating challenging championship layouts worldwide, including courses at Mission Hills, California. At Kings’ Island, water comes into play on 14 of the 18 holes, with gently sloping terrain enhancing both strategy and visual appeal. The par-72 layout measures 6,454 yards and provides a demanding yet scenic test of golf.
The Mountain View Course is a par-72 championship layout stretching 7,100 yards. It was designed by Pacific Coast Design Pty. Ltd. of Melbourne, Australia, a firm with over 18 years of experience in golf design and major projects across India, Malaysia, China, Thailand, and Australia. The course follows the site’s natural contours and fully embraces its waterside setting, distant mountain views, and surrounding woodlands. Designed to challenge and excite golfers of all skill levels, the Mountain View Course also features its own clubhouse, boat dock, and driving range with putting green and practice bunker. Outside play on this course is restricted during peak weekend hours.
Together, the two contrasting courses and extensive facilities make Kings’ Island Golf one of the most distinctive and complete golf destinations in Northern Vietnam.
