Long Vien Golf Club is the first 27-hole golf facility in Laos. The original 18 holes opened in 2012, followed by an additional nine holes in 2016. The course is located within a special duty-free zone, approximately 16 kilometers from Vientiane and just one kilometer from the Mekong River, which forms the border between Laos and Thailand.

The course is set on predominantly flat terrain, with challenges created through man-made mounding, extensive water features, and sharp-edged, strategically placed bunker complexes. Mature trees, flowering plants, and red-grass water hazards frame many of the holes. Fully grassed with Paspalum, the course offers excellent playing conditions year-round. Measuring 7,538 yards from the back tees, Long Vien is a lengthy par-72 layout.

The East Course winds through a series of lakes and forested areas, with water hazards closely guarding many greens, making accurate club selection critical on approach shots. The West Course is more open in design but features a greater number of bunkers and more undulating fairways.

Practice and support facilities include chipping and putting greens, a grass driving range, and a modern clubhouse with elegant locker rooms, an international restaurant, and a well-stocked pro shop. Long Vien Golf Club is equipped with floodlighting for night golf. All caddies are male; while their English skills may be limited, they possess strong golf knowledge and deliver a high standard of service, contributing to an overall impressive golfing experience.
