Luang Prabang Golf Club is a scenic championship golf course in Laos offering river and mountain views, modern facilities and a tranquil playing experience alongside the Mekong River and surrounded by densely forested tropical mountains. Like many classic golf venues, Luang Prabang offers players a memorable journey rather than a repetitive layout. There are no parallel fairways, and golfers experience a true sense of exploration, particularly on the front nine, which plays farther away from the river. The par-72 course measures 7,443 yards from the back tees and is widely regarded as one of the most scenic layouts in Laos.

While the course includes several long holes, it remains comfortable to walk due to its gently rolling to mildly undulating terrain. Fairway landing areas typically range from 35 to 40 yards wide and are bordered by moderate semi-rough. Greens are well protected by sand traps, and fairway bunkers are used extensively, placing a premium on accurate tee-shot placement.

Holes 14 through 17 run parallel to the Mekong River, creating some of the most dramatic moments on the course. The par-3 17th plays along the river’s edge, while the par-4 18th provides a strong finishing hole, playing uphill over 375 yards from the tips to a medium-sized green that slopes seven feet from right to left across a 75-foot putting surface. Elevation changes throughout the layout are generally mild, with the exception of the closing hole.
