Adrian Lawson
Adrian Lawson is a highly respected PGA Professional with a lifelong passion for golf and a dedication to helping others enjoy the game to its fullest. With a rich background that includes time as an officer in the Merchant Navy before transitioning into professional golf, Adrian brings a unique blend of leadership, discipline, and warmth to everything he does.
As the founder of Golf Travel Australia, he combines decades of coaching experience with a love for travel and community, hosting tours and golf schools that are as much about connection as they are about performance. Known for his approachable style, expert guidance, and genuine care for every golfer he meets, Adrian is the heart of the GTA experience.
Richard Rhodes
Richard Rhodes is a seasoned PGA Professional with a deep-rooted passion for golf and an exceptional talent for coaching players of all levels. With years of experience both on the course and in the classroom, Richard brings a calm, thoughtful approach to instruction, focusing on building confidence, improving technique, and making the game more enjoyable for everyone.
As a key member of the Golf Travel Australia team, he plays an integral role in both our golf schools and hosted tours, offering expert guidance and warm, personalised support. Richard’s easygoing nature, professionalism, and genuine love for the game make him a favourite among clients and a valued part of the GTA family.
Henry Epstein
Better known as King Henry – Is one of the most unique entertaining figures in the world of Golf. A former Touring Professional across the Australian Tour, Asian Tour, Korean Tour and the One Asia Tour, Henry blends elite golf skill with world-class showmanship, creating an experience no other host can match.
With over 25 years of performing corporate magic, including five years as the House Magician at The Star Casino Brisbane, Henry has built a reputation as a master entertainer, storyteller, and crowd-engagement specialist. He is also a two-time Guinness World Record holder for golf trick shots and a renowned presenter of live golf experiences across Australia and Asia.
From golf tours and tournaments to luxury travel groups, charity events, and corporate experiences, Henry’s talent lies in transforming an event into an unforgettable story. He plays, hosts, entertains, and captures the magic — literally.
Shane Barron
Shane turned professional in 1998 after completing his training under Tony Di Tomasso at Carbrook Golf Club.
Shane spent 2 years on the Sunshine Tour in Queensland before chasing his passion for teaching and helping other golfers be better. He then worked for the House of Golf in Brisbane where he taught in their stores and did club fitting and retail sales.
Shane worked for Adrian in 2005 at Capalaba driving range and then worked in Bangkok 2006-2007 teaching a Junior Academy. 2008 he worked with Adrian again teaching at Emerald Lakes on the Gold Coast.
Shane has spent the last 8 years living in Laos teaching at Lakeview Golf Club in the capital of Vientiane and has extensive knowledge about golf in Laos and some parts of Thailand.
Whether we’re organising a hosted tour, running a golf school, or simply sharing a laugh over a post-round drink, our focus is always on connection, quality, and fun. It’s this spirit that defines the GTA experience—and keeps our travellers coming back year after year.
